The Dead Speak!

Memories have a way of coming back -
in graveyards, where they lie forlorn
surrounded by the live reflections of the dead!

Like that writing on the wall
reminding you of what could have been,
grudging you for your stony existence!

Amidst the silence of silenced souls
lies that noisy chaos of the dead
still expecting from you what you could not give!

The slab but a mortal barrier from the dead and gone.
We know not but, they live; they indeed do!
Having a good laugh at our obsessed desire to live on...

lies that noisy chaos of the dead' and 'The slab but a mortal barrier from the dead and gone We know not but, they live; they indeed do! Having a good laugh at our obsessed desire to live on...'

Thanks Mary. Many of us think that once the person has passed away, his/her memories will fade with time. They don't and who knows whether the same thing happens with our loved ones who are in the other world!
