Echoing Reflections!

If only nature was
a picture frame-
perfect,
wouldn't it echo my thoughts
imperfectly?
Reflecting joy
when sorrow pervaded my soul,
Celebrating
when hurt edged into my very being!
No wonder
floods and famines,
poverty and illness
echo the reality
of life,
of living itself
in all its eternity.

On the other hand, might not looking at that perfect picture raise one's spirits, if only marginally?

It's an interesting thought, though, and a well-written poem, I liked it.

Often, the beauty of nature contrasts to our own personal struggles and pain. Yet, it is such a comfort to look into the skies and gaze at the stars. Lovely poem here!

YOur wish is my wish to, 'if nature could be picture frame, then it's perfect'

but it is not because nature is most often times furious with men...because of their abuse with her!

very very nicely written Shail... :-)

No one is all perfect and nothing can be flawless.... it is only how near to perfection we can be. A well written and thought provoking verse.

Thanks Gospel writer. Yes, perfection also prompts imperfection....

I agree entirely Write Girl. What we undergo we see in nature - joy or struggle...

Thanks Kind Spirit. Comments like this makes one to write more and differently...

Thanks Jingle. I like your comments always.

I agree Amity. We are the ones abusing nature and then, we expect her to be kind. We are only getting back what we have sowed....
Thanks.

Thanks Nanka. It is our desire to chase perfection that makes us imperfect, doesn't it?

This is beautiful. I guess nature can be that, lifting you up, echoing your feelings imperfectly.

Very true Judy. It is like a mirror reflecting what we feel within....

That's why we have more of floods, famine, earthquakes and all because we humans are undergoing too many negative emotions and thoughts....
