U for Unanimous

Unanimous in our greed,
Unanimous in our desire,
Unanimous in our wants,
Unanimous in our misty mire,

Why can't we be unanimous
in our dislike for dark terror?
Why can't we be unanimous
in our peaceful perceptions about humanity?

Unanimous in love,
Unanimous in creation,
Unanimous in death,
Unanimous in recreation,

Why can't we be unanimous
in our prayers to the Almighty?
Why can't we be unanimous
in joy and hope?

Are we really unanimous at all?

Unfortunately or fortunately no five fingers are same...in difference there lies a solution and unity

Yes, Tarun. I suppose so. It is a fact which is hard to accept.

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Great post and words for the day -- and so true, fortunately or unfortunately, as Tarun has written.
Thanks for joining us again for ABC!

We share so much; it's a pity s many things divide us!

Hi Sylvia,

Thanks. And yes, we are constantly divided about so many things. A real pity.

It's my pleasure to write for ABC.

Hi Brenda,
Yes, definitely. In spite of being born as humans we have so many things dividing us. Or should I say, we induce this kind of division with our thoughts and prejudices.

To live in a world of unity...would be heaven.... and maybe we have to wait until then to really experience it.

Yes Vasi,

But important enough to ponder seriously about.

Nice Day!

Hi Gattina,

Most of us love to disagree. It's normal human trait!

Hi Wanda,

Yes, living in a world of unity. What a lovely feeling. And yes, we have to wait for long I think too.

Nice reflections, Shail. Sadly, such one-ness is utopian.I share your feelings.

Lovely poem.Idea of being unanimous is desirable but hardly seen.

A thought provoking question worth pondering.

Hi Sonal. Good to see you here, one of the first persons to comment on my poetry blog when I started this blog.

Shailraghuvanshi said...

Thanks Deepika. Nice to see you here.

Glad you liked the poem. But as you said, being unanimous is seldom seen as desirable, selfish that we are as humans....

Shailraghuvanshi said...

Hi Arindam, Nice to read your comment.

Thanks.

Hi Vimala.

Thanks for dropping by here. Yes, a question worth pondering and finding an answer......

Didn't know that. Now the list of people appreciating your poetry has increased by geometric progression. May the tribe increase.
