The Light of Evening

Like a bird
rushing home
to retire for the day,
evening beckons me
homeward,
to let go
off torn tired thoughts.

Evening -
a time closer
to the slumber of moments
that house a haggard
shell frame
locked
in its own jigsawing emotions.

Evening -
moving towards
the twilight of life,
the ritual
of offering salutations
to the Creator
on our plate of reverence.

Nice one.If only evenings become more lengthy, life will be more joyful...
