H for Hat!

That thing
called a hat -
does it merely cover
a thinning head of ageing hair
or is it a fashionable statement
for receding grey cells?

Every Hello -
a revelation to the stranger
standing amusingly
wanting to curiously know
whether the area called the head
has a growing patch or not!

Hats for all occasions,
for convenience
for cover-ups
temporarily hiding
embarrassing situations!
Do you wear a hat by the way?

Ha! Ha! Just some humorous hanky-panky!

for me, it blocks the sun in summer and keeps me warm in winter!

Hi Roger, You bet! It does ward off the summer heat in summer and the cold in winter. Thanks for reading and sharing....

I have always loved wearing hats, but have never lived in a community were doing so was de rigueur. Perhaps I need to relocate...

What a fun post for the H Day!! I love hats!! Don't have a lot of opportunity to wear them anymore, so I really love your photo and words! Perfect!! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

Pretty HAT that is!

Come and see my letter H, have a nice day.

Yes I do love a hat, but like Sylvia, not many opportunities, so I'm restricted to sun hats and winter hats.

I love hats but i don't wear them. I find them to be very uncomfortable.
have a wonderful day, Shail!

Dear Hope,
Thanks. Writing has been low for a while this side, so thought I would write what came to my mind. Although I must add that like you I don't actually wear hats.

God bless.

Hi Joyce. I suppose I must try a hand or head if I can say at sun hats. Would do well for a change for my persona. What do you say?

Hi Chubskulit, Thanks for dropping in. Yes, a pretty hat is fun wearing. Does add that extra charm. Doesn't it?

Dear Sylvia,
Thanks. Nice you enjoyed reading this simple post. I too don't get to wear hats but would love to sometime.

Wishing you a lovely day too!

Hi Kim, maybe you could. Ha! Ha! I have had this problem many a time when I have had to change my gear because the people/community around were prone to wearing something else and I stuck out like a sore thumb.....
