After endless moments
swimming against the tide,
missing the bull's eye
I languished
in the sand dunes of time
hurt, humiliated,
hostility hurling my senses
into a whirlpool of depression.
Surrender
was the only way out
of this unwanted, unwarranted maze
of human failure wrought
by the fueling of human pride
at the hands of ailing humanity.
Surrendering to you My God
I find my goal, my destination.
I find You!

oh.. this is nice.. surrender or sharanagati, expressing our inabilities.. exposing our weakness, ... completely unto his hands.. thinking that he is there to uplift us.. isn't it what ramanuja propogated in his theories..?
nice poem.
what a wonderfully open piece of writing - surrending to life is hard..trying maybe harder than giving up..I am glad you have a voice that helps..Jae
That's just beautiful Shail. It is good that you have a worthwhile goal to surrender to!
Great poem with a beautiful theme--coming back into the fold of the eternal being, surrendering to the only one who is worth it.
That's a beautiful write up! We always surrender to God and that's only wise. Thanks for coming by my space :)

Thanks Jae. I am glad you liked the poem and understood the sentiment behind it. Hope to see you often....
Sometimes that is what I think of ... Surrendering to God
Thanks Altonian. Sometimes, that's the only way of coming to terms....
Thanks Butterflies, yes, The Lord seems to be the only worthy power before whom we can surrender tormented as we are all our lives by human fraility.
Hi Warm Sunshine.
Thanks so much.
Thanks Sheila. Hope you are doing well.. Long time.
Yes Swati, we should think of doing it more often...don't you think?
nice the alliteration in the opening stanza leads to a frantic pace, but then you back it was down in surrender which accentuates your words very nicely...surrender is the best attitude to cultivate
Thanks Brian. At times, when things do go out of pace and the road is unclear surrender seems the right way out. And it has helped...
