Death claims its victimsilently,unexpectedlyleaving behinda hurting traceof mental agony,of bleeding heartstringstied to the door knobof mortality.....Everyone peeks into offer their respectto the departed soul,to make their presence feltamidst the chaos of superficialityand then....there is silence,an aching bruiseof mourning aloneaway from the worldwithin the depressing confinesof the heartwhere emotionsravage a denying mind....
(For a neighbour who passed away unexpectedly)
An insightful poem conveying the shock of a sudden loss and the difficulty in coming to terms with this unexpected change. Well done.

ReplyDelete"Morn after morn dispels the dark,
ReplyDeleteBearing our lives away;
Absorbed in cares we fail to mark
How swift are years decay;
Some maddening draught hath drugged our soul
In lone with vital breath,
Which still the same sad chart unrolls,
Birth, eld, disease and death.".................BHARTRHARI " Against the Desire of Worldly Things".
