If only We were Less Passionate....

If only we all were passionate
about the world
as we are about our loved ones
the tsunami would have given
Mother Earth a miss...

If only our passion
for food, frills and fast life
was much lesser,
earth cracking earthquakes,
drowning floods would have taken a stroll elsewhere....

If only the care, love and passion
for all things fine and flamboyant
could have been substituted
by a maternal warmth for the globe
Japan would not have been floating in devastation...

Praying passionately for all those lost, hurt and dead in the tsunami..

Thanks Harshad. There HAS to be a different, safer, more sensitive way of living. Let's gear up and live that way.
