You were always the one to make me feel dear.
Busy as a bee
you could be
whenever your friends landed up.
Those times, I didn't even seem to exist.
Still, I lingered around
if only to be part of your group
of fun loving friends.
Then, you met her
and I rarely saw you.
You were too absorbed in new found love
While I wondered what made you like her
more than me.
Weren't we siblings?
She wasn't even there in our lives
when we bonded like friends.
But then, I was your baby sister,
too immature to gel-
I remember, one day
in a fit of anger
you even told me to go to hell!
I shed tears under the bed
imagining the loss of a brother
to some stranger

Today, I am older.
We live in separate homes
with different families
yet, whenever you call
I know I am going to have a ball!
Nothing like a brother buddy for life
inspite of he having a pretty wife.
For I can see that touching emotion
reach upto your eyes
as I tie the bond of love

something which no other girl
can ever do for you.
Now, that's a honourable position
for very few.
