I am a Millionaire!

I would be a millionaire
if I had the money -
You won't believe it!
I do!

I have the wealth
of flowing warmth,
of unconditional friendship,
of joy galore,
of peace ashore.

I am a millionaire
of love lost and deservedly gained,
of lessons cruelly learnt and used,
of soaring spirits after calamity borne,
of pen bent, broken and repaired...

I am a millionaire.
I have the money
of Life!
of Gratitude!

More often than not, the riches of the world come free, but we're so busy focussing on the things that come at a price that we miss them...

Shail, my first visit to your blog, courtesy of Carry On Tuesday. Your priorities are definitely in line with so many of ours! Being rich is so much better than having lots of money, isn't it? Thanks so much for the smile.

Thanks Gloria. I suppose all of us have these treasures but most of us (me included) tend to take them for granted. Don't you think so?

Hi Ashwathy,

Very true. Our perspectives define our wealth.

Money could be here today and gone tomorrow but richness of existence remains for ever after!! Very well put forth!!

Shail Raghuvanshi said...

Thanks dear Nanka. Indeed. The wealth of realization, of hope, of caring are the real treasures.

Good work.
All essentials are necessary for recipe and in appropriate amount.
Excess or deficiency of anything, spoils the taste.
Every body has his own taste and needs.
Our mind understands the currency of warth, gratitude, happiness and peace while money is one of the materials sometimes essential for these.

Thanks Gemma. We all are actually these special kinds of millionaires. It is just that we stop realizing this and begin depending on other things....

Shail Raghuvanshi said...

Thanks Harshad. We all have this wealth....

Shail Raghuvanshi said...

Thanks you Lynette. Yes, we need to pause a wee bit in life or else life just flies away....

Shail Raghuvanshi said...

Thanks so much Cynthia...

Shail Raghuvanshi said...

Thanks Dr. Goyal. Indeed, our mind does recongize it all but seldom wants to pause and realize it. That's where we falter and we begin searching for other things...
