Raw without preservatives....

Like clay,
yet to be moulded,
the rawness of life
echoes back at me
every time
I hurl a preconceived
prejudiced notion.
The mind plays games
if we permit it to -
it is just another raw fruit
waiting to be peeled,
till the seed of life
stares at us in the face
reflecting the true nature
of existence -
Plain raw material without preservatives....

Lovely metaphor, Shail. Philosophical and well-written, only, personally I feel 'back' does not need to be repeated in the sixth line. Unless I haven't got exactly what you are conveying. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks dear Shernaz. So, nice of you to comment. And yes, you are right - "back" needn't be there. You have got the meaning just right.

Life is what you make of it, and you can only try shaping the raw material of your experiences until you reveal the seed of meaning. I liked this, and it's depth of perception.

Thanks a lot Altonian. I am glad you understood and appreciated the meaning behind the words. Yes, life is indeed what me make of it, of perceptions and experiences....
